Does God Care Who Wins the Superbowl? Or March Madness?

Paula’s big brother Jamie fills in for Jill this week to guest-host a discussion of the intersection of religion and sports. Discussions include Paula and Jamie's agonies as sports fans, the way sports can seems like a religion with God-like figures, the frustrations of a "sound-bite" and sometimes performative faith culture, and the idea of "winning" and "losing" when it comes to Jesus. And yes, we try to answer the question of if God does indeed care who wins the Super Bowl!
